How to get InstallPad running
Before using InstallPad, ensure that you have the .NET framework 2.0. You can obtain it through Windows Update (Windows XP requires SP2) or directly from Microsoft's website.
Download Installpad-0.3.zip. You must unzip this file to run InstallPad. Unzipped, you should get InstallPad.exe and applist.xml in a folder named InstallPad-0.3. Double click InstallPad.exe to run.
In the InstallPad window, you can click on each application one at a time to download it and install it, or you can check off a few apps and hit "Install All" to have them all installed at once.
If you want to customize the list of applications or download other pre-made application lists, more information can be found here.
I get this error when I run InstallPad.exe: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application"
This error occurs when you do not have the .NET framework 2.0 installed. Refer to the instructions above for getting it, and be sure to thank Microsoft for their helpful error message.
